BCN Tour - Final results

Final results from the BCN Tour 2107

¡Vamos Dani! finishes at an outstanding 69th rank (out of 109 teams that managed to complete the total of 6 races across the canton). The team reached this position after a long but hearty "remontada", and a fresh start at the 121th rank (out of 130).

¡Vamos Dani! also earns the honorific title of "First EPFL team" (out of three).

Beyond the ranking, the greatest accomplishment lies in the number of runners that have joined the team and their determination to reach the finish line, despite the pain, despite the weather conditions, and despite the lack of training.

It takes at least three people to make a BCN Tour team.  ¡Vamos Dani! never showed up with less than 5 runners. It was 12 of us on the last race.

Preparation for the last race

The spirit of the team was high for the last run in Neuchâtel. The preparation went well and the focus was as its paroxysm, everybody was finalising the gear and making sure everything was in place... (one doesn't want things to be moving around during a race!)

Brigitte was there in the open space to encourage the runners and most importantly send good vibes to Dani!

Lost in the forest - Our trainings

Saturday, 20 May 2017
Our sense of direction was not very developed on last Saturday, still a bit asleep.
So, instead of running for 30 minutes and a couple of kms, we ended up lost in the forest after more than 50 minutes of hard, intense and sweaty running!
Matteo was not very happy ah ah!

Here are all the photos:

L'altitude ne réussi pas à Smolik mais il prend quand même 6sec à sont rival Oso sur cette étape!

Le coach personnel de Greg est venu aider Oso sur cette étape très vallonée, Merci Nico! :

Le sprint final de Sara sous les encouragements de Lorenzo!!

Race #3 - Le Landeron - the results

Race ranking (97/134)

Total ranking (103/123)

Slowly but surely we are moving up every week ;)

Race #3: Le Landeron - the pictures

Third week of the BCN Tour and third race. This time the weather was kind enough to spare us the snow, the rain and the cold. We came up with a team of 7 runners including the 5 usual suspects, Ugo and Lorenzo to add up some 70km more to the counter.
